Airport Not Plein-air

air port commissionWhat a privilege to be asked to do an oil painting of an airport. It was near where I lived in Morgan City, LA, and the owner gave me professional photos to work from so I didn’t have to do it plein-air. He liked the work so well he asked me to do another one for his friend. Wow! That was my biggest check for that time in the 1970’s. There was another time in my painting career where I was asked to do the painting of the front of a castle and they liked it so well that they asked me to do the side view also. I will share the castle paintings in another post.
